JOIN BAHRA FOR THIS LUNCH PRESENTATION WITH JOHN TAYER, CEO, BOULDER CHAMBER
WHEN: Thursday, January 17th from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm
WHERE: Nissi’s, 2675 North Park Drive, Lafayette, CO 80026

About This Event: The Boulder Region, like many other highly desirable areas to live and work, is facing major challenges related to its workforce that put both the economic vitality and quality of life at risk.  Human resources professionals in the region know first-hand that recruiting and retaining talent is a priority and the BAHRA community has been working hard to support the talent needs of their organizations.  Concurrently, the Boulder Chamber, recognized as an innovative, collaborative organization, has worked with key business, community and academic leaders to form “Boulder Together.”

This strategic, multi-year initiative is designed to address three areas of economic and community needs: Workforce Development, Workforce Housing and Workforce Mobility.  Local business leaders have pledged their support and investment in collaboration with community partners to achieve the goals in each of these strategic focus areas. To support this important work and the needs of the HR community, BAHRA invited the CEO of the Boulder Chamber, John Tayer, to share Boulder Together’s vision and opportunities to impact workforce challenges with the local HR community.

Through this program attendees will learn:
1. To increase awareness of business initiatives to address high priority issues for the workforce: Workforce Housing, Workforce Development, Workforce Mobility.
2.  To equip the HR community with information they can use to inform and educate their business leaders and peers about solutions on the horizon to address workforce development problems.
3. To continue building communication links between the Boulder Chamber and BAHRA membership that will support the planning and implementation of solutions that come out of Boulder Together and related Workforce Development programs, especially for smaller businesses who may not yet have visibility to the initiatives.
