PROGRAM DETAILS:
Have you ever wondered how your organiz
ation's policies and procedures impact the diverse identities of your emplo
yees? While the vast majority of policies and procedures are created with i
ntent to support all employees, many will better serve those employees with
privileged identities. Organizations must continually evaluate the impact
of their policies and procedures to minimize micro- and macro-aggressions,
acknowledge the inherent power imbalances in the workplace, and maintain ac
tive allyship with those from marginalized communities.
DURING
THIS SESSION, ATTENDEES WILL LEARN:
Members can expect to le
arn how to evaluate their policies and procedures to oppose the following:
White supremacy, sexism, heterosexism, transphobia, ableism, and classism.
Members will also be able to identify ways in which they can modify their o
rganizations practices to dismantle power imbalances and be more inclusive.
